Klare Taal, meaning ‘clear language’, is an evening full of spoken word, music, poetry, stand-up comedy, and other word-based arts. After a successful first edition, it's time for round two on Tuesday, December 17!

Klare Taal will be presented in Dutch.

Asomdwenyi
Asomdwenyi is a young, talented spoken word artist from Amsterdam. With her unique writing style and powerful performance, she has graced various stages across the Netherlands.

Soumaya Bazi
Soumaya is a storyteller, writer, and filmmaker, currently working as a writing instructor at the Van Gogh Museum. She connects audiences with topics such as spirituality and decolonization. From chance encounters to childhood memories, her words seamlessly flow into profound questions about identity and culture. Let yourself be moved by her powerful performance and experience how the personal and the political intertwine in her work.

Luan Buleshkaj
Luan is a wordsmith in the broadest sense and an established name in the Dutch spoken word scene. He has performed on numerous renowned stages and theaters, from Lowlands to Carré, and from De Kleine Komedie to the National Theater. Luan was a commentator for Nieuws BV on Radio 1, house poet for Spijkers met Koppen, and columnist for the program CritiX on FunX. His solo performance Leeuwenkind earned him the Ramses Shaffy Prize at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival and the Best of Fringe Award at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival. NRC wrote: “Luan Buleshkaj excels in sharp writing. His linguistic precision continues to surprise with rhyme schemes, striking metaphors, and semantic wizardry.”

Lev Avitan
A philosopher, spoken word artist, and theater maker—though preferably all three at once. His work offers critical reflections on society and an intimate exploration of his place in the world. He is a columnist for the Vrijdenkers platform and has previously performed at spoken word events such as Mensen Zeggen Dingen, Woorden Worden Zinnen, and festivals like Lowlands and Down the Rabbit Hole.

Guillano Herdigein
Guillano Herdigein has a unique style that closely reflects his own character. He takes listeners on a journey with his self-written Dutch-language music. His performances are always filled with entertainment, interaction, love, and joy.

Fuad Hassen
Stand-up comedian Fuad Hassen (of Eritrean descent) is a master at playing out comedic situations. He took his first steps onto the stand-up stage in 2006 and, by 2008, had won both the jury and audience prizes at the Culture Comedy Award. In 2013, he reached the finals of Cameretten, leaving a strong impression on the jury. He has since created four shows: Pareidolia, Held, Remmende Voorsprong, and Vogelvrij.
