Klare Taal

Klare Taal, meaning ‘clear language’, is an evening full of spoken word, music, poetry, stand-up comedy, and other word-based arts. After three succesfull editions, it's time for part 4 on Wednesday, April 2!

Klare Taal will be presented in Dutch.

Lelie Danesh
Lelie is an experimental filmmaker, poet, and spoken word artist from Rotterdam with Iranian roots. Her work drifts between reality and dream, always exploring new ways to make art raw, bold, and surprising.

Tijdelijke Toon
Charley, aka Tijdelijke Toon, is a poet straight from the Amsterdam underground. With sharp humor and poetry, he’s on a mission to make the world a little less shitty. From tiny solar-powered festivals to Lowlands and Paradiso – he’s been there. He also organizes two poetry nights every month. And yes, he has a thing for adverbial phrases.
 

Luan Buleshkaj
Luan is a wordsmith in every sense of the word and a big name in the Dutch spoken word scene. He’s performed everywhere – from Lowlands to Carré, from De Kleine Komedie to the National Theatre. Winner of awards like the Ramses Shaffy Prize and the Best of Fringe Award, and praised by NRC for his razor-sharp pen and linguistic wizardry.
 

Veronique Efomi
Poet, writer, and songwriter. Veronique’s poetry delves into themes of freedom, vulnerability, and impermanence, blending real-life stories with unexpected twists and surreal layers. Her third album Herder dropped on May 8, 2024, and in 2023 she was nominated for the Gelderse Bokaal by the Dutch Cultural Fund.
 

Josh&Robs
Hiphop is their compass, but these Amsterdam boys have no fear of crossing into other genres. Expect high-energy shows, freestyles based on audience suggestions, and a dynamic vibe that flips from explosive to intimate in seconds.
 

Maurits Niesink
He was imitating Najib Amhali at school talent shows before he even hit his teens – and never stopped. At 15, he jumped into stand-up with a course at Comedy Club Haug, and within a week, he was on stage. Now, he’s chasing his dream: becoming a well-known comedian and entertainer.
