In collaboration with @minouhiemstra, we’ll transform Pacific to a cosy cinema for the night (recap of our previous edition ;)). Kino, from the Greek kinesis meaning ‘movement,’ refers to films known for artistic, high-quality visuals. Often used by film lovers and younger generations to describe cinema at its finest. Tickets are including popcorn!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) is a brilliant blend of romance, drama, and sci-fi, directed by Michel Gondry and written by the genius Charlie Kaufman. The story follows Joel (Jim Carrey) and Clementine (Kate Winslet), who, after a painful breakup, decide to erase their memories of each other. But as Joel relives their moments together, he starts to question if he really wants to let her go.
The film was a massive hit, snagging an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and earning a nomination for Kate Winslet. With its unique style and powerful message about love and memory, it’s a movie that sticks with you long after the credits roll.

Moonlight (2016) is a breathtaking drama that explores identity, love, and self-discovery. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film follows Chiron as he navigates growing up in a rough Miami neighborhood while grappling with his sexuality and sense of self. Told in three chapters of his life, it’s an intimate and raw portrait of personal growth.
The film made history by winning the Oscar for Best Picture, along with awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali. With its stunning visuals and deeply emotional story, Moonlight is an unforgettable masterpiece.
